About

Security Operations grounded in networking.

I’m Jeremy Vizcaino, a cybersecurity and networking professional based in Long Island, New York. In my current MSP role, I investigate endpoint alerts with ThreatDown EDR and Windows event logs, deploy UniFi network infrastructure, configure site-to-site VPNs and firewall rules, and administer Active Directory accounts, permissions, and Group Policy.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in Technological Systems Management from Stony Brook University, where I participated in the Cybersecurity Club. I am pursuing a master’s degree in Cybersecurity at New York Institute of Technology, with coursework in Applied Cryptography, Governance, Risk, and Compliance, Algorithms and Data Structures, and Network Security.

Earlier support roles added experience with Azure Active Directory, Microsoft 365, SSO, MFA, VPN support, and ServiceNow workflows. Alongside that professional experience, my home lab supports continued development in SIEM monitoring, Detection Engineering, Threat Hunting, network security, and automation.
